A classic of pedagogical studies

Currently reading "A Child's Conception of the World" by Jean Piaget.

A classic of pedagogical studies - trying to unlock the processes by which children begin to comprehend the world around them. Makes for very interesting reading of course - although due to the period during which the studies were undertaken, a large majority of the subjects are boys. The girls are represented only marginally, but by at least one genius of around 5 or 6 years, as I recall.

The exchanges with these young children are charming and often hilarious. Their capacity for seeing what is apparent and then expanding on it to the Nth degree is fantastic.
